NWSISD offers magnet schools from grades K-12 in three themes; Arts, International Baccalaureate, and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEM/STEAM). If you have questions about the NWSISD magnet school application process, please call 763-450-1300.

Anoka-Hennepin, Brooklyn Center, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose, ISD728 (Elk River | Otsego | Rogers | Zimmerman), Fridley, Osseo, and Rockford school districts comprise Northwest Suburban Integration School District. Magnet Lottery and Application

The 2025-26 school year magnet lottery application closed on Friday, April 18. All applicants in the waiting pool will be lotteried to a wait list. Wait lists will be provided to magnet schools/programs and/or district enrollment centers by May 7, 2025. We will not be sending waitlist placement letters to families.

Lottery Timeline:

October 15 - December 31, 2024 - Magnet Lottery Application is open to receive applications.
January 2-10, 2025 - Magnet School Lotteries are performed
January 17, 2025 - Assignment and non-assignment letters mailed to all families who submitted applications.
January 8, 2025 - Magnet Lottery Application Reopens
February 14, 2025 - Deadline for families to accept assignments/enroll at magnet schools
March 7, 2025 - Magnet Lottery Application closes
March 10-12, 2025 - Tier 2 Magnet School Lotteries are performed
March 13, 2025 - Magnet Lottery Application opens
Week of March 17, 2025 - Assignment and non-assignment letters mailed to all families who submitted applications
April 11, 2025 - Deadline for families to accept assignments/enroll at magnet schools
April 18, 2025 - Magnet Lottery Application is closed for season
Week of April 28, 2025 - Randomized wait lists are provided to each magnet school/districts
