Upcoming Professional Development Opportunities

​​​Leading for Equity: Opening Doors to Access and Opportunity - Wed., May 1, 2024, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

This event will be held virtually [The meeting link will be sent via email the week of the workshop]

A few workshop objectives include:

• Developing a greater understanding of how to apply an equity lens in your daily policies, procedures and practices within the school or district to dismantle disparities and reduce barriers.
• Identify the relationships of values and actions within an equitable environment.
• Engage in opportunities to utilize the four tools of Cultural Proficiency as framework when addressing classroom, school, or district decisions.

The Post Secondary Experience (college visits)​

NWSISD has worked with our member districts around the common goal of post-secondary preparedness and success. Each year, member district students from high schools and middle schools are provided the opportunity to research potential schools by participating in college visits. College visits offer the college bound student a first-hand look at colleges and universities throughout the state and nearby Midwest area.
