MAGNET APPLICATION PROCESS for 2024-25                            Open March 13 - April 19, 2024

Families who wish to enroll their child in a magnet school are required to complete and submit an online application.  The priority application time period starts mid-October and goes through December 31.  The application portal will re-open in mid-January with a second lottery taking place in mid-March.  A timeline of magnet lottery events will be provided annually.

An application must be submitted for each child from the same household that is applying.  An application must be submitted if the applicant is a sibling of a child currently at the magnet school of choice, by the priority deadline, to be considered for a seat during the first lottery.

Kindergarten students must be born on or before September 1, 2019 in order to be eligible for the 2024-25 school year.

NWSISD will conduct a lottery if the number of applicants exceeds the number of available seats.  Applicants may choose up to two magnet schools in order of preference on the application.
